Root New OTA or LG UPDATE for Connect ZV9 is safe for rooting

Since the forums for LG connect isn't as popular as esteem's yet just wanted to post that the new update ZV9 for the connect is rootable just update as I speak and rooted the device. Don't know yet what the update does though, and also I was in ZV8 don't know about others. Hope this post will be helpful thanks for reading. Cant wait for CWM for this phone thanks to the devs :)

How do u update it? I don't see the option to update on the Connect as I did with my old EVO 4G
 
Mine updated by its self when I rebooted it came back on saying saw update is installing don't know what it did though any thoughts on that
 
I didn't reboot to get the update. It just showed up on my screen and did an auto update after 20secs. I have no idea what it did either. I also was no connected by usb. It did it OTA.
 
This has fixed my Phone, i will have to test out over a couple of hours but so far it has stabilized my phone's signal. I was about to take the phone back to corporate because i would lose 4g and signal was going nuts but now my signal has stabilized and stays on 4g and calling signal so i think that this update was for that problem we will see for sure i will post later with final verdict.
 
so update didnt fix crap my phone is still having issues so it going back and to the person and to the person who asked yes i unrooted so its possible
 
i got a message on my phone earlier today stating FOTA failed and to contact a store. I got my phone plugged into lg Support tool but its stating my phone is up to date but i have ZV8
 
I had a problem with my phone waking whenever it felt like it, I'd have to hard press wake 2x before it woke up (not all the time, but enough). so I updated to the zv9, it unrooted an reinstalled bloat. I returned my phone got a new one, mentioned the update to the rep, she told me that this new one had the update already, I looked at the phone and it said zv8, so I go back to my PC try to install the update, update tool says phone is already upgraded, but it still reads zv8??? Also the new phone still wakes from sleep when it wants, anyone else have either of these problems?
