New OTA System Update.

I received an OTA system upgrade. 98.72.165.en.us.
I am not letting it install since I don't know anything about it.
The last update reduced functionality and changed the user interface.

Can any one tell me what this update is about?

Which phone and carrier? I have Verizon with the Droid Razr Maxx HD and have 9.30.1.xt926.Verizon.en.us running. What do you have running?

I have a Droid Razr Maxx running on Verizon.
It says I have System Version 98.72.16.XT912.Verizon.en.US
Android Version 4.1.2
Build #9.8.20-72_VZW-16
The up grade to 4.1.2 was a big disappointment.
I lost Motoprint entirely. I lost Latitude, but later was able to recover it for a while until Google discontinued it.
The user interface changed for the worse. \

I dont want to load this update if it further reduces my capability.

The new OTA update for the Razr Maxx not the Maxx HD is just a bug fix and security update. I am on the Razr Maxx and I updated and had no problems.

You are posting in the wrong forum. This should be moved to the non HD forum. The update is listed as a minor gsm fix however it updated a bunch of files.

eeengineer1066, Something as good as Latitude is still available, now called Location...get to it thru Google + then select the menu bars at the top left and select Location...

I had no issues with the latest OTA. Been running it on my and wife's phone a few days

FYI, It will break root, but the razr exploit will re-root it.

Yes you will. You can re-root though using the droid razr exploit. I had to do it to my wife's phone last night.
