New owner issues

Hi GUys, new owner of the SGS and really like it. Can anyone tell me though if there is a way to remove pre-installed apps like ThinkFree Office etc. Although these may be useful I have better ones (in my humble opinion that is). I am familiar with the uninstall in Manage Applications but not all the apps are shown. I also have another uninstall app installed which doesn't show the apps either.

Second, I have installed txeet sms template app and can't seem to find how to create & save a template and recall it to use. Obviously doing something wrong here.

You need to be rooted in order to uninstall built-in apps.
