New owner of a Rugby Pro, having BT issues

I'm a convert from Crackberrys over the last decade or so.

Liking it so far, but having an issue with BT connecting in my car. When I first connect, everything seems to be fine. The phone audio and streaming audio pair up and the device turns bright blue (which I assume means the devices are paired).

As soon as I try to make a phone call or stream an audio file, I get a message on the bottom of the phone's screen that says something to the effect of "bluetooth has been disconnected".

I had my buddy pair his I-Phone and it worked fine. Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong here.

Any suggestions?

This sounds similar to an issue I've had with my Plantronics headset. Sometimes it will randomly disconnect for no apparent reason and leave the audio system in limbo for a brief period.

Is there a firmware update available for your in-car system? Some of the devices that have had weird drop issues get a firmware update to address similar problems.
