New phone advice

My contract is up in september so Ill be upgrading from my S3. I like the S5 and would like something weatherproof and a great camera. Should I get the S5 or wait for something better by then? Are there any other verizon phones I should consider?
 
If you "wait for something better", you'll still be waiting in 2114. If you want weatherproof, the S5 seems to be a good bet right now. The Note 4 (probably coming out in about 4-1/2 months) might also be weatherproof.
 
Like rukbat said, waiting for the next best thing will lead to waiting for the next next best thing, though it isn't quite as bad now as it was three or four years ago. If you aren't protecting unlimited or anything like that, then the S5 or the Note 4 are both great (potentially great) devices.

Yes I understand that just wanted to see if anything else is out there or gonna be soon. I like my S3 a lot except the gps and phone signal could be better.

If you really like your S3, you may be best served staying with Samsung. I have always had devices that were mostly pure Android as opposed to manufacturer skinned (Sense for HTC, TouchWiz for Samsung, Blur for older Motorola, etc.), and haven't taken to the skins. I imagine that that may be the same for folks that have primarily used skinned phones. I was looking to get a Note II or S4 when I finally gave up on my GNex, but I was never able to get comfortable with my wife's SIII.
 
Given you're contract is up in September, I think I'd wait to see the next Nexus (or whatever Google announces in Oct/Nov) before making any decisions.
 
Honestly if you are looking for better radios you might want to look at Motorola, they are known for having good radios in their devices :)

Otherwise, I love my Note 3 and am looking forward to the Note 4 :D
 
September is normally the month that Samsung announces their Note phones. Not sure when Google will announce the next Nexus. So it looks like by the time your contract is up, you will have enough information to make a decision. I'm waiting for the Note 4. But I am also going to be looking at the LG G3. If I was on T-Mobile, I might go with the One Plus One when it becomes available. Decisions decisions!
