Hi,
I just got a new phone (galaxy s5) and when I redownloaded all of the apps I previously had, I noticed all the memory was wiped even though I was using the same Gmail and sign-in. For instance all of my progress in games was gone as was data or notes I had written in other apps.

Can I obtain all the data I got from my last phone? Thanks

Hi

Only if you have it all backed up somewhere. If you still have possession of the old phone it should be possible.

Download of the apps to your new phone via Google is only the programme, not the data.

Also would depend if the game supports backup via Google Play or Facebook sign in from inside the game. For example, Subway Surfer only backs up your high score, but not any cash or powerups you've earned. Candy Crush on the other hand completely backs up your progress. If you still have your old phone, open the games and make sure they are signed in to Google or Facebook.

You could also use a backup utility like Helium to transfer data.
