New phone - photo folder moving?

I want to copy selected folders of photos from my Moto G5 plus to my new Moto Gu plus.
Is there a suggestion of an app that can do this?
I have Copy my Data on each phone which copies photos - but not in folders - just end up as hundreds of photos in my pictures folder!
Could it be done with a plugged in lead?

what about copying the folders from your old phone to your pc and then removing the old phone.....connect your new phone to the pc and move the folder to the sd card. or better yet just use a card reader thats hooked up to your pc.

Thanks, never even thought of that!
I guess I could connect both phones to the PC and copy folders/files directly across.

I highly recommend using Airdroid. No need for cables, or even having the computer and device in the same room (as long as they're both on the same Wi-Fi network). It's worked great for me for years.

Install Google Photos and the photos on your account can be accessed by any device.

Nice idea but I don't like the way Photos works, I have my photos in logical folders in my phone so can access without a connection.
Plus anything cloud based can (as we have seen) be removed at any time.
