Well, phones expected later this year are Galaxy Note 2, iPhone 5, and the new Nexus phone.
Note and iPhone should be announced sometime September, the Nexus on November. HTC is rumored to have something up its sleeve though.

There will definitely be some new phones at VZW by the first of next year, and maybe even some that we have not heard about yet. If that time comes and you don't like any of the new releases, there will still be the Samsung Galaxy S3.
It is lightening fast on VZW LTE.

The rumors right now are for a RAZR HD, and an HTC Note competitor, as far as top shelf phones go. No guarantee of a Nexus on Verizon this time around, the last release didn't go so well, and Google has to be fed up with Verizon's antics. But I imagine all the major manufacturers will have a new flagship phone on Verizon by early next year, so you should have a good selection of phones to choose from.

I guess I'll just have to wait and see. I couldn't really find anything out there myself when doing some searches so I just wanted to take a shot in the dark to see if anybody here had heard anything or maybe actually had an "in" on some info.
I've had a Droid and am currently working on the Droid X and to be honest I'm just not really all that thrilled with Motorola. I really like the idea of getting a Nexus. Will have to look at that one closely. I have really mixed feelings about the iPhone. Will have to look closely at that one too I guess. Then there is of course the S3. Do you all think that one will last the next two years? I mean if it happens to still be the best choice after the first of the year.
