New Qualcomm Battery Saver App

For all those complaining about batter life, this story about a new app from Qualcomm may be of interest. Apparently, after installation, the app spends 3 days* analysing usage then makes changes to how other (often badly designed) apps work in order to improve batter life.

Not a new concept, but it is from a company that should know what it's doing, so maybe worth a look ..?


* so probably best if don't install it on a Friday or right before a vacation

Yeah,from reading the description, it sounds as if the app will do its best by predicting phone behavior based on a typical/routine pattern of use.If that is the case, it probably won't do much for those that are constantly tinkering/changing settings/flashing ROMS, etc.....

I'm sure there can be some benefit, but, wonder if it'll conflict w/mfgs built-in battery saving options, as on the HTC ONE, for example.

I tried it about a month back and was OK with it. Didn't notice much of a difference so I uninstalled it. Not a big fan of battery "savers" in general. I get great battery life without one so I don't feel its necessary.
