I just upgraded from a basic phone to my first smart phone, the RAZR Maxx. Everyone told me to go with the iPhone 4S, but I really like the Maxx when I handled it in the store. I am worried I made a mistake, though. Today while I was on a call, it shut itself off or locked up, not sure which. Basically, the screen went black with the red Droid diamond symbol. I had to to hold down the power and volume down button to restart it. Should a brand new phone be freezing up? I haven't even had a chance to download any apps for it.
Also, I have had the WORST headache since I got the Maxx a few days ago. I am thinking I am just not used to the screen and my eyes are tired after sitting in front of a computer all day at work. Anyone else ever run into this with their first smartphone? Is there something about this particular phone that could be causing eye strain? I haven't spent an excessive amount of time on it, just ten minutes here and there setting up my preferences or checking email. I even turned down the brightness settings.
I would appreciate any suggestions. I have another week and a half before my return period is up and I really don't want to return this phone, but I also don't want a phone that I can't use...
