Root New Razr with ICS

What are the benefits, if any, of rooting? I switched to verizon from sprint and had my evo rooted for hotspot purposes, which I no longer need as my ipad is on verizon now.
 
Biggies for me are 1) bloatware (which can mostly be eliminated without root on ICS), 2) ad-free android (I HATE poorly placed ads in apps or on the browser) and 3) custom ROMs.
 
Thanks, bloatware would be the only advantage for me. I like ICS enough to not mess with custom roms at this point.

If you feel like it, check out THIS THREAD for one of the bloatware things you can do without having to root though (if it makes a difference to you).
 
I followed another thread I found last night and all is well so far. There may be other items I could disable/uninstall that im not aware of but so far so good.
