Root new rom recommendations?

I am currently on mik3d and have been for awhile. I used mikg before that, and had problems on cm7 (though I loved cm7 on my old optimus). Anyways, im looking for a change of pace. Aosp or sense, don't matter.. I need something with everything working and stable. 4g doesn't matter but everything else does. What is recommended these days?I am leaning towards Aosp since I'd love some more time out of my battery..

Yeah, Aosp it is... Now I need to know which I want. It's hard to browse them all since the phone is my web access right now
I like the extra settings in cm7 but imagine most are available using other programs or scripts...?

This is one of the newer aosp roms that everything seems to work on. I think there was a video playback issue but it may have been fixed. Just do a nandroid backup just in case
