New S4 problem

I have an s4- stock and no task killers. Last night I plugged my phone in (alarm set) as I do every night.

Alarm never went off!

Led light solid orange (never saw that color). And phone frozen.

Had to do battery pull.

Phone was 100% charged. No issues today.

Anyone else have this happen/cause??

I've only seen red, blue and green on my S4. Never seen orange. Couldn't begin to tell you the cause behind that color.

Nope. My problem seems to be that my S4 loves to switch towers every 20 seconds so I go from LTE to EDGE to 4G back to EDGE, then LTE and will actually drop signal altogether for a minute or so.... making viewing videos on YouTube or Netflix very annoying because it stops to buffer every minute or so.. also makes phone calls impossible because when it switches towers or drops signal, it drops my calls.
