New samsung SII plus wont turn on

chrry

Lurker
I need some help.

I bought new Samsung SII plus just two days ago. It worked fine for two days. But today I turned it off to put the memory card in it. Immediately after, I tried to turn it on, but it wont turn on. I took out the battery and placed again, for a number of times, but nothing happened.

Any suggestion?

Thanks.

Hello and welcome to Android Forums, Chrry. :)

Since this seemed to happen from placing an SD card in your phone, have you tried removing the card and then turning it on? While the battery pull *should* reset the device, sometimes you have to let the capacitors discharge completely so you might try leaving the battery out for a good 10 minutes or so before trying to power it up. You could also try a forced reboot by pressing and holding the power button for 20 or 30 seconds.

If there is absolutely no response to those, then you might have a bad battery or a broken power switch, either of which means you should get it replaced. Since it's only a few days old that shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks
I have tried all these, but nothing happened. I plugged in the charger, but it doesn't start charging.

It could also be that the USB connector on the phone is broken. That would explain why the battery won't charge or the phone won't boot without the battery in it.
