New SD Card - Clone or copy

Just got a new 16GB MicroSD, don't ask me why....

But, can I just copy the old SD card over, or are there any hidden files that would require a clone of the card?

I don't think there are any hidden files so you should be able to just copy everything over. You could always double check by letting windows show the hidden files though.

they wouldnt be hidden in windows, only linux and show up with a period in fromt of the file or folder like " .whatever " :),

I copied EVERYTHING in windows from the old SD card to a folder.

Then formatt the new card (before moving over the Windows stuff).

Put the blank card in. Settings > SD Card & Memory > Format SD Card

Then copy the old files (from the Windows folder) back over, EXACTLY as they were. It will ask to replace old files with new ones? I said Yes to All.

Success.
