New SIM card from LG?

I recently had to repair my Volt as I had a damaged SIM card slot that the sim was stuck. Being under warranty, I sent the unit back to LG for repair which took about 3 days for them to fix. They replaced the SIM slot (which holds the sdcard also). When the unit came back it had a newer SIM installed already. The new SIM has a higher revision number on it. Should I keep the new SIM installed or put back my old one? I'm not sure but I've read somewhere that the LTE is controlled by the software on this SIM.

Any thoughts on this?

If working well, no need to put the old SIM back in. And YES! The LTE on our phones is handle by the SIM card.

You will probably have to update the new sim card thru your carrier. Each sim has a unique serial which registers it on the network.
