I finally hit a wall in terms of balancing out the lack of memory.

Does the kindle fire hd have any option for extra memory? I like my device, but i can no longer add anything to it. I was also considering the nexus 7 or acer iconia a200.

I see from http://androidforums.com/amazon-kindle-fire/641929-kindle-memory.html that you've fixed the problem. If you're still interested, the N7 is now available with 32GB memory.

You can either root your N7 so you can make use of input/output with data using an OTB cable or you can do what most do which is make use of virtual memory via Google Drive, DropBox, etc. etc. Besides, if you're going to install so much stuff that requires more than 10+ gigs, you ought to at least back that up somewhere just in case something horrible were to happen to your N7.
