What Timmy says.Yes it will work. It doesnt have to be unlocked if its a tmobile branded phone.
You can buy it unlocked from amazon newegg and plenty of online retailers. If best buy has it unlocked in stock please believe you can buy it there. I am also sure that you can just go and buy the device in store full price and have it unlocked by its unlocking app.I plan on buying the Note 4 to use on my Metro service, how do you go about buying it straight out from Tmobile? Do you just go into a Tmobile store and purchase it? I don't think they give you that option to order/preorder it online unless you purchase a plan with them. What about BB, Costco etc that sell Tmobile phones can you purchase it right out from there or does it have to be from an actual Tmobile store?

Wow $899! May have to save up a little longer for that one!
That is what I'm waiting for as well!My mind is already set for the Note 4. Already have $750 put away just need to save up a little bit more. Not going to buy when it first comes out though I'm going to wait for all of the reviews from people first and see if any deals or rebates come up before I buy it.
Yes you can use a T-Mobile phone without unlocking it with Metro PCS without any problems. I bought my LG G2 with T-Mobile, used it for a couple of months and then switched to Metro. T-Mobile would not sell me the phone without getting a line first. Can a person buy a NEW Tmobile phone and put it on MetroPCS service right out of the box?

How does one identify the "unlocking app"? Is this app free?I am also sure that you can just go and buy the device in store full price and have it unlocked by its unlocking app.
You response implies that the TMobile phone must be unlocked. Is that what you mean?
