Hi guys,

Ok, I've just come from a normal nokia to a wildfire. Firstly, is there a calendar app or widget to match the Nokia? The repeat event was whenever you wanted and was fab! Also, whats a froyo I hear people mention and push notifications? Is it possible to play fb games on here? if so how? Lol, I'll leave It to just that at the mo but sure I'll ask more later on x

Welcome to the forums, chickyb.

Clicking the Market app located in your app drawer, you'll find yourself in a great big, searchable market. ;) Spend some time in there, many many apps are free, some are paid.. some have a free and paid version of the same app, etc.

Wildfire users will chime in here with their favorite apps and games, etc.
 
Set yourself up with Google Calendar, it rocks, not only will it give you recuring entries, it'll send SMS and email reminders. it'll sync automatically to your HTC, ditto contacts, Nokia DatasSuite on steroids and over the air in real time too.
 
I think you will post a message in a week saying "I will never,ever get another Nokia"

The HTC phones and Android system take a short while to get used to. But if you have half a brain, and persistence, you will never regret your purchase.

Search the market, loads of free apps. I have never paid for one. try handcent, Sky Remote Record, Pageonce, ebay, BT Fon, Capital FM, Gauge Battery Meter, Ringtone Music etc, etc Some may or may not be of use to you.

I have an Exchange mail set-up from work, and the built in calendar widget works flawlessly. However, philbridges tip is a top tip indeed.

Thanks for your replies. I've had the phobe since Christmas and have had great fun getting apps and games from the market. Sometimes the phone goes really slow and freezes, is this the norm? I've goy a 4gb SD card but will prob get bigger. And yes.... you ate right, I will never get another Nokia, lol. I'm still gettin used to it though. Ok,next question, what Is this google calendar? I've never used google before x
 
OK, Deep breath, here goes.......

Google calendar - (Without sounding rude) do a Google search for "Google calendar" It comes up No.1.

Android - As you have a Google system - or rather Android - you will have a Google account. The same one you log in to the Market with. The one you setup when your first got your phone.

Put some random stuff in the calendar. Sync it with your phone and hey presto.

A bit more detailed than that, but I would hate to "teach you how to suck eggs" obviously to sync you need to have wifi or 3g on etc.

Thank you all for your help! clearly I dont. know how to suck eggs (lol) as ive got google calendar up, ive sirted out the sync but I cant fins the repeat reminder, god, i feel so stupid! I've got things that go on 4 weekly snd 2 weekly and just need reminding! I really must be THE worse person you guys have ever had on here! Sorry x
