So I want to give up my iphone for an android phone (hopefully nexus prime) in the next couple weeks but the thing is I own a macbook pro. Can I use another music application on my macbook other than itunes so it will work seamlessly with my new phone or am I stuck with itunes? Thanks for any insight.

None of the music (or any other sort of) syncing options is as elegant, easy to use, fully featured or reliable as iTunes.
I love my SGS2 but if I had realised what a giant pain in the arsenic desktop integration is with Android, I would have thought twice about buying this phone. It's a great shame because it's a much better phone than the iPhone it replaced.
