Few questions for you all. Just got a galaxy note 2 and am trying to figure out how the music apps work.
1. I uploaded my music from iTunes to Google. I have a huge library of music (55gb) so obviously don't want it all on my phone. As far as I can tell I have 2 choices. "music hub" or Google. The music hub says it streams from the cloud but what cloud? Am I duplicating by having music in both places? I've got to say, I'm not a fan of the Google app coming from iTunes. Any advice for someone in my situation?

I use Isyncr to move my music and playlists to my phone. BUT...I use Poweramp for a music player. Not sure if Isyncr works with the stock player.

You have already did the hard work of loading your music to Google Music. Why not just use the Google Music Player to play your music? You can manage playlist via PC/Browser and listen to them on the Note 2. You can also listen to them offline and not worry about data (battery).

As for the Music Hub app, that's Samsung specific and you would need to create a Samsung account and load your music to the Samsung cloud. I do not know if the Samsung Music Player allow for offline listening. I'm sure you can find out easily enough via Google.

Cloud Music Importer

You can use the above app to download your music from the Google Cloud to your device for use with other music apps. Otherwise you could just move it over with a usb cable or just use Google Music itself.

The Google music is mainly used to stream the music tied to your Google account; which is any music purchased on the Play Store and what you've uploaded.

Okay, I live in a rural area and even my 3G sucks for streaming. Calls seem fine but any streaming app, ie. I heart or pandora doesn't really work well. That's why I want to download play lists to my phone.

Again, Google Play Music app will also let you play your music offline. Create playlists then select the ones you want to download for offline listening.
