Help New To Android SMS/MMS question

I am fine with the phone even if the answer is not as I hope. When I send a group message to my co workers each response comes in as a new thread. Is this the was Android works? Can I possibly have them all respond to the same thread so it is all in one place? I have looked around in the settings but did not see anything about this. I am coming from a iPhone so please don't hate on my lack of knowledge. Thank you all in advance for your help.

I personally havent seen anything like this. If I remember right when you send a group message you can have it send in that 1 thread or in their separate threads. but when sending in 1 thread you will get in different threads.

only way ive done this were it goes to the same thread is doing Groupme and everyone in the group gets everyones messages about that subject. that shows up in 1 thread with their name.

Try go sms they have a group messiging feature that will give you what they are looking for. And its easy to make it your default msg client.
