Help new to android

Hi I have just got my first Android phone ever, Galaxy Ace, im loving it at the moment, but i seam to be having a bit of trouble with this allshare the phone wont detect my pc and vice versa, can anyone help me on this matter....also anybody know what the best free apps are out there for my new phone...thanks in advance

Allshare is onley for samsung first off, do you have a samsung laptop.
If you don't have a samsung laptop thiss will not work.
