Help New to Android

Hello all, having a little issue with downloading apps, i have the samsung galaxy S phone, when i select an app to download it goes to my apps saying download starting but it never starts , i left it overnight and still not downloaded in morning... im getting my emails so im connected.... any ideas?

It could be an issue with the market app, restart the phone and see if that solves it, if not from The app drawer go to Settings-->Applications-->Manage Applications-->All
Find the market app and click on clear data. Reopen the market and try again.

There is the issue: i choose an app to install but it always tell me failed. and want me to check my SD space. I am sure it is big enough.
