I'm new to the android world and would like to know how i will know when i'm using data or not. And do apps like angry birds use data?

Welcome to Android Forums Softballer82. Most everyone here has played angry birds but me lol. I don't know if it uses data during game play. Most games do not. You will naturally use data when dnlding the apps. If you are extremely concerned, you can always turn off data services such as going into airplane mode and then try your game. If it needs net access for you to play, you will soon know. I hope you enjoy the forums and take the time to look around. Enjoy.
