Just "inherited" a replaced droid eris and want to tinker with it a bit. Will rooting it and adding a better os speed it up and add features? What would you reccomend? I have a galaxy tab and have taken my laptop apart a couple of times to repair it so i'm not entirely new to either android or afraid to tinker with things.
