new to android

i only hear about android phone when someone told me about apps download
on android smart phone ,and i;m considering to buy a budget phone just to try
out some of the apps which i can download so i am thinking what is the least
operating system i need and the least internal memory i need in order to run some of the apps in todays android phone market,will a samsung galaxy y meet
my spec? or you can tell me some other budgeted modal of android phone?.thanks

The Galaxy Y will run some apps on the market but many require a larger screen, the Galaxy Y has 240x320 pixel 3 inch screen and some apps aren't made to support this size. It's up to you but I'd look for a cheap phone with at least 320x480 pixels.
