HI ALL HAPPY HOLIDAYS,
CURRENTLY OWN A ROOTED DROID RAZR MAXX WITH ICS.
I PURCHASED IT ON CRAIGLIST ALREADY ROOTED.
MY PHONE SEEMS TO RUN VERY SLOW, SOMETIMES TAKES 10s BETWEEN PAGES. AND YES I HAVE TRIED TO EMPTY CACHE, HELPS UNTIL I START USING IT AGAIN, AND BACK TO SLOW MOTION.
IM HOPING THE NEW JELLYBEAN UPDATE WILL FIX THIS.
THE QUESTION IS: CAN I UPDATE MY ROOTED RAZR MAXX VIA AIR ( NORMAL WAY) OR SINCE IM ROOTED WILLIT DAMAGE MY PHONE? WHATS MY ALTERNATIVE?

Welcome to the forums :)

You would need to put the original ROM back on the device if you put a custom one on it to receive OTA updates.

Otherwise even if your device is unlocked then the OTA updates will still roll in per carrier permission.

Sorry dont really understand what you are trying to say. So if i just do nothing and wait for the update, what will happen to my phone?
