new to android.

hello, I was wanting to get some input from the more experienced people in the community and ask, what's the best way to learn android? I just received a dragon y88x as a second hand gift and I was wondering on what to do with it. I've got experience with unix systems and can navigate with a command line.
you guys have any tips on getting started? I do not have much experience with android.

I say play around with it, install apps and enjoy it until you can think of something you'd like it to do and then research that or ask on here.
