Help New to Droid. Couple of Problems. Please Help

The first problem i am having is that for some reason the messaging program creates a new thread randomly. I would upload pic but because I am a newbie, I can't do so. But for instance, I will be texting my dad. And over the course of the conversation i will have 3 message threads all from dad with 5 or less messages in them. How can i fix this??

Secondly. Facebook will not sync contacts. I am logged in. But when i go into contacts show facebook. it has my facebook login name and then 0 contacts. I've reinstalled facebook etc. Kind of annoying..

Have you used the Facebook app to sync contacts? I believe it's the Facebook app that does that, not your Contacts app.

Is your dad texting you from the same phone number every time? Maybe he's using different phones... that would explain the separate threads.

its the same phone number and I am trying to sync with facebook. in the facebook app i have sync all contacts selected.

facebook syncs contacts through the stock dialer (tab contacts)...so go into your contacts and use the menu button to bring up sync options.

The only reason I see separate threads appearing is due to multiple contacts, ie your facebook adds a contact that you've already added through you google sync

Facebook sync doesn't seem to be working at all. I don't see any Facebook logo next to any of my contacts.
Also. The multiple threads seem to happen randomly. For instance. I can be texting my girlfriend. 100+ messages. Then out of the blue new threads start forming. This sleazy happen on her galaxy
