new to droid n need help!

Aloha everyone!

I just got the droid 2 n I had transferred songs from old phone onto this one n I've also been downloading some from the apps. They were all working fine up until yesterday! Now none of it works n when I go into a ringtone app it won't even play the preview.I don't know if I deleted something I wasn't supposed to or what but I sure could use some help!

The first thing I would probably do would be to reboot the phone. If something simply got stuck this'll typically clean it up. Unless your phone is rooted it's very unlikely that you could've deleted something in the firmware partition.

Thank u! Can u help my simple mind a little further??? How do u reboot n will it erase all of my media?

In this case reboot = power off the phone and then turn it back on.

Unlock the phone, press and hold the power button. You should get a menu displayed on the phone. Select "shut down". After the phone turns off, press the power button until the phone starts to come to life, release the power button, and then wait till the phone boots.
