New to Droid.. New to "rich phones"

Decided to take the plunge and I'm addicted already. Picked up the new Droid yesterday, along with the Car navigation holder.

Previously had the Casio Exilim (Mil-Spec Rugged/Water Resistant, w/ 3x Optical Zoom 5MP camera), and 'fore that the Boulder (Same as above minus the 3x/5MP cam), and Razr before that.

A few things that I'm stumped by...

1.) How do I add Favorites to the Droid when in Navigation/Google Maps... I'm wanting to replace my TomTom (which has inferior mapping capabilities)
2.) I'm baffled as to why the Voice Guidance is now coming from the earphone portion of the phone and NOT coming from speakerphone...

Consulted the manual for both and found answers for neither.

Did you try Long-press the screen or pressing the MENU key and More ...?
