New to droid!

Hey everyone,

Myself & my gf picked picked up a new LG Optimus 3D (I took over her old iPhone 4) and we also picked up an Acer Iconia A501 tablet (free on promo data plan)....

Love it so far, just having a problem setting up a second e-mail on it on the Optimus 3D... tablet though is beautiful and works beautifully...

New to the Android world since I own 2x iMacs, 1x Macbook Pro, 2x iPhone (3GS, 4) and previously owned iPhone 3G... I was considering iPad but it seems like droid has much more to offer IMHO.

So... Hey everyone!

Any recommended top newbie apps I should be aware of /// top freebie suggestions?

It's probably no different, just what shows in the about section/device part of the unit... its Rogers based but has a very minor data plan... 500MB... but both my iPhone and my gf Ashleigh, her new LG Optimus 3D have 6GB data plans that can be tethered so on the go, we'll probably just end up tethering the unit... its very nice... my only complaint is the speakers are quieter than both of our phones. I don't understand why but oh well... quite a nice unit!!

And I've seen a million posts but not understanding on this one... is there no way to close apps on android without rebooting the silly devices? Back buttons seem to just bring you back to home screen without actually closing the apps... or is it just smart enough to know if nothing is happening to close itself?
