Hey all, I am coming off an iPhone 3G for the past few years and was ready for an upgrade. I recently got the Samsung Galaxy S III and I am loving it so far. I am a Android noob and it took me like 20 minutes to find the app store, but I have found some pretty good apps and I wanted some input from the "pros".

For someone completely new to Samsung, the Galaxy S III, and android, what would be the first things you would suggest in doing? What apps to get? What to update/upgrade on the phone? Any setting changes that will make the phone THAT much better? etc.

I setup my emails, ordered a case, downloaded some apps (games, utility, stuff for school), added a pin to lock the phone, but that's about it...

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like you have it under control. Most of the stuff that makes it better is just learning all the features of the phone. The capabilities of the S3 are amazing. I'd just recommend reading through some of the tips & tricks threads and see if any of those are going to help you out.

Also, I tend to remove some of the included apps that I don't use, to free up a little space. Again, this is covered in the various T&T threads.

Then, there's the apps. I have a pretty extensive list of apps that I use and like, that make life easier or more entertaining.

Finally, setting up Google accounts, gmail, calender, etc will make life easier in the long run. Allows you to sync up your data quickly and easily.
