Help New to Galaxy/Droid

Lurker
I'm a longtime Apple user (Mac, iPhone, iPad). I finally gave up on iOS and traded my iPhone 5 for a Galaxy S4.

I've been reading a lot of threads over the past couple of days and still have a few questions.

1. What is the best way to manage the numerous podcast subscriptions that I have through iTunes?

I'd like them to update on my new phone each day/week in the same way they did on my iPhone.

2. Are there advantages/disadvantages in using the S4 stock apps--internet, email, calendar--as opposed to using google apps--chrome, gmail, google calendar?

I'm interested in everything being synched and enjoying a smooth experience. One of the reasons I was willing to switch from iOS is because I already use gmail, google calendar, etc., and thought that a switch to android would be fairly easy. I obviously didn't realize that Samsung had its own apps loaded onto the S4.

3. What is the difference in Navigation and Maps?

On my iPhone I used Google Maps for turn by turn voice navigation, so I'm a bit confused about the redundancy.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer my questions. I really appreciate it!

Welcome to Android (many confuse Droid with it).

1. Can't answer
2. I always stick to Google apps, Samsung apps tend to be less user-friendly, buggy, and less supported.
3. Navigation is a direct way to navigation. The new Google Maps merges the two.
