New to HTC sense, need help

Is it possible to customise the HTC sense bar at the bottom of the main screen. I'd like to add a text button to it like on launcher pro.

Not unless you run a secondary launcher, like ADW or Launcher Pro, or you are rooted and put a ROM on that allows it.

OK thanks. My new HTC incredible S arrived yesterday and it seemed to have come with launcher pro. The phone asked me which one I wanted to set as default so I set sense to default. However, is it possible to combine the two, so you get the best of both worlds?

Unfortunately not that I've found - and I've played A LOT! Once you are on Launcher Pro it doesn't 'see' the HTC widgets and such. And HTC sense doesn't allow for as much customization.
