Root New to rooting, questions on this phone

Hi all, i'm new to rooting and i'm looking for some answers.

Specs on the phone I just got:
HTC Droid Incredible (4G LTE)
Android Version 4.0.3
HTC Sense Version 4.0

Will I still be able to access the Verizon network for internet and such as well as the contact backup manager after a root? I imagine yes but want to make sure.

If i'm still able to, if someone could point me to a rooting guide that would be great. I haven't been able to find any guide for this phone on rooting that makes sense..
 
No root yet. These providers really don't want us to root. Gives us too much control. The root community are working on root as we speak. We will have to wait and see what happens.

Rooting has nothing to do with carries, I think it a good thing that android phones come unrooted by default.

The instructions in this guide are intended for use with the HTC Evo 4G LTE. Applying these instructions on another device or model may produce undesired outcomes.

OP, I wouldn't follow these instructions... I would wait until there are specific instructions for the this device if you are interested in rooting.
