Hello everyone, i am new to this forum and look forward to posting questions and answering when i can. I am a new android owner, one week now with the new HTC Thunderbolt. I thought i had done my homework but there were a couple of things i took for granted, one is a old question for most of you, the inability to transfer digital copy movies over and another is some of my apps with notifications ( on my IPhone they worked great ) but on the android they seem to lack a lot. Anyways, i know it is ever evolving so i will stick with it for now, and i look forward to being a active participant

Welcome to the Android Forums!

In Android notifications have been localized to each application. So if you want to set a ringtone for text messages, you need to set it in the text messaging app. Same goes for email messages... and the default ringtone for calls can be set in App Drawer -> Settings.

With respect to "digital copy" movies, the two things you have to be careful of are video codecs, and DRM copy protection. Though it's not specific to the T-Bolt, the following thread might provide you some useful info...
