New to this

I've been doing mostly research for personal knowledge and maybe to help others get more from devices they own. I don't want to cheat MetroPCS out of money. That being said I want full control over apps on my phone. I would also like to remove or block apps I will never use. I've been told this is the best android forum so I guess I will soon find out. Thanks for any help you guys or gals can provide.

It sounds like you are talking about rooting your phone (this is the only way to remove pre-installed carrier bloatware/get full control over your phone).

You would need to head to the "All Things Root" section of the sub-forum for your phone. I think that this Samsung Admire - Android Forums is the sub-forum for your phone (I could not find a LG Admire, but just found the sub-forum for the Admire) - if this is not the correct one, then head to Android Phones - Android Forums and scroll down until you find your device.
