new update 1.29.401.11

Literally just downloaded this now... not sure what the changelog is but this is the second update in as many weeks
 
Update just done to 1.29.401.11 on Unbranded One X Orange UK network. The main thing I have noticed straight away is I have got back 6GB on the Phone storage side. Anybody noticed anything else yet?
 
Has the loss of network signal been fixed? ie when you lose signal does the phone find it again or do you have to do a quick reboot/remove and re-insert sim?
 
For me, the biggest difference is that my back light are more sensitive so can now see what I am doing :)

Im not sure. He rang up Tmobile themselves and got the upgrade through them direct. So Im assuming its a branded one. Is there a way of telling from the kernel or baseband version if its an unbranded one ?

If it's unbranded, the baseband version will be 1.1204.105.14, if his S/W version has a 401 in it, he's definitely unbranded though.

Logically, given the fact HTC have released 1.28->1.29 so close together (and there are rumours of a 1.30 so quickly), I would presume they'd jump straight to 1.30. However, I'm not sure if the fixes applied in 1.29.xxx are included in the 1.30 release or if they need to be applied in a certain order. Does that make sense?

tl;dr version - I don't know! :p
 
just got the notification that the new update is ready for me to download will wait till i am at home before doing it
maybe there releasing it in serial number batches just a idea
 
where do i find the version i have?

i found the software info. let me know if i got this right please: android version 4.0.3 = OS, HTC sense 4.0 = HTC's OS skin (can't think of a description), and this thread is talking about a firmware update from HTC?

I'm on 1.85 with custom roms already working on 1.88 in the US my phone came with 1.78 pre-installed. But I believe these folks have the international version which is different. The 1.88 ruu comes from China so they're getting updates even faster than us here in the US.
