WOW! Not only did the Note 10+ get Android 10 before the end of 2019, but we're one week into January and the newest security patch is already rolling out. I got it this morning. Go to Settings - Software update - Download and install and check to see if it's available.
 
I just purchased the Note 10+ today. It is installing the security update as I type. I guess I should have said updates. One seems to be leading to another and another. This may take the rest of the night. I seem to have just started the updates I thought that were behind me. I seem to be downloading Android 10 now. Yes Sir. It spent an hour or more updating once I brought it online. Oh well, I think I'm all caught up with the group now. All before two AM. :)

While this isn't really relevant to a new security patch, it IS an update - Note 10 owners can expect the One UI 2.1 update in the very near future. I've read that the update, mostly under-the-hood upgrades, will roll out by the end of April. It's also interesting to see the information in the paragraph under the graphic - that S9 and Note 9 owners will get this as their LAST update. After that, they will get security patches for a year, after which they will need to upgrade their device to stay current.

You know, I remember getting the June 1 security patch a couple of weeks ago... and now a NEW June 1 update, CTE7, just hit! It makes me wonder what was such an important fix that Samsung had to send it out in the last days of the month, instead of just rolling it into the July patch... but yes, Unlocked Note 10+ has the update available. Note 10 & carrier-branded models won't be far behind.

Actually, that's the one I missed. That's what this new law proposal is all about. Building in backdoors to all hadrware or services in the US (to be only used on warrent) to allow breaking native encription.Trouble is, If the law can, hackers can too.

While it's not a system update, Samsung Notes has been updated with all the new features introduced with the Note 20: like pages, importing PDFs, etc. It should be able to sync with OneNote as well... I will try that.
 
Start checking your phones, because a BIG update is starting to roll out! The September security patch will include One UI 2.5 - which brings a lot of new functionality and upgrades that were introduced last month with the Note 20 series. In fact, there's a Good Lock plugin called Pentastic that will allow users to customize their S Pen functions!

I sideloaded it from APK Mirror: right now Note 10 users can only set the theme of Air Commands menu. Other functions will come with One UI 2.5

EDIT:

I got the September security patch yesterday and was disappointed to see that my One UI is still version 2.1 - so the news about the new One UI version must be only for Exynos models.

Note 10 series in the US is now getting the One UI 2.5 update!

My unlocked Note 10+ is downloading it right now... The update includes Wireless DeX; WiFi improvements; Samsung Keyboard improvements; Pro Video features in Camera; Samsung Notes now includes importing PDFs and handwriting over text; and other improvements. Samsung Pass may produce errors after the update - so immediately following the installation bootup, go to Settings -- Biometrics and security -- Samsung Pass and update it.

Enjoying the update so far. Pentastic works like a dream now as part of Good Lock. These features will more than suffice until the Android 11 / One UI 3.0 update hits in a few months (and that will be the LAST major update for the Note 10 series).
