I didn't see the notification but I did see the info about it posted. I immediately downloaded it. I no longer have the black bars that showed up when I hit the "recent apps" icon and the stock browser works like it is a new one. The performance changed significantly for it.

Just as an FYI, this update has definitely improved the Wifi range. I am in my office in the basement and picked up my neighbors wifi signal. My Galaxy Nexus is sitting right next to the Prime and I can't find their network on it.

Hello,

I am not at home so I can't test it... But did the update improve anything else besides the Wifi performance?

Thx:cool:

I noticed that I don't have any Bluetooth lag anymore. So I think the update takes care of that too. But those da#n fingerprints!

I dont getthe update... went to settings, about tablet, press look for updates, and noupdate... why??? Help plz...

Hmm... mine was actually auto-pushed out and ready for me when I opened my tablet (didn't even have to go to the system check)... (I realize that isn't very helpful). Maybe try a reboot and periodically keep checking the update check in the settings?

Don't despair. We don't know how exactly Asus rolls these out. I should be a matter of time before you're able to get it.

Do you have a serial number in your about tablet section in settings? If not don't plan to get any OTA updates.

I wish I would have looked at my signal strength and speed test before the update because it doesn't seem to had made WiFi any better. Of course, it may not have been an update to help speed.

Anyone else have searching for GPS in the notification area even though use GPS for location in settings is unchecked? I do all the time now after the update.
My wifi is noticeably better. Haven't tried BT yet.

EDIT - I rebooted and the GPS notification is gone now. That was weird.

I didn't do any kind of speed tests, or wifi test before installing the update. I have not noticed any better wifi speed, or reception. Some of mentioned better browser experience, I do not see that either. You could have handed my the tablet with or without the update and I would have had no clue. Not sure exactly what they did, but my tablet seems the same.

notice any different battery drain now?

I heard it discussed before that maybe wifi would be improved by giving some more juice to it.

not sure if thats really technically feasible but interested to see if anyone has noticeable changes in power consumption.
