I have a new upgrade from AT&T coming up in January, a few months away I know but I've been thinking about it recently. What phone would you recommend I upgrade to or wait for? My current phone is the Samsung Captivate.

January? That's years away in the tech world, no one know what will be released by then. Pretty much anything you upgrade to from your Captivate will be a huge change.

Like dreadnatty said new phones will still comeout in the time period till you can upgrade

By January, you would have the new Nexus phone released by then (its usually announced by November and released December).
For sa safe bet, the Samsung Galaxy SIII and the HTC One X will be the best phones for either company until around April.
