Help New user, couple of questions

After a couple of months with my Blackberry 9930, im coming back to Android.
I used to have a Droid X and LOVED it! Then "upgraded" to the Bionic....worst decision ever. I would literally loose signal every other day and would have to do a reboot to get it back...So I gave up and went to the 9930. I LOVE the keyboard but HATE everything else.
So I gave up and ordered a Nexus, it was between that and the Rezound. The Nexus seemed like the best choice.
I have a few questions if someone doesnt mind answering a few...

1) How is the build quality? It was really good on my Moto Droid X and my Moto Bionic...thats why I liked Moto so much. Does it feel "solid"?

2) Do most (99.9%) of apps run on 4.0? Like Pandora, Dolphin Browser, etc?

3) Any hardware issues I should look for? IE - Easy to scratch battery door, etc?

Thanks! If I think of anymore I'll post em!

Some apps do not work on the build yet most do that i use now that could be a lot different then you. The battery door is plastic so you know it should be.

Its solid and does not move when i put pressure on the phone in any direction.

It has a nice feel in the hand, but it doesn't have that metallic build quality of a Moto.

The apps running on it is a non-issue: almost all do, and all will. Some things like Chrome Beta only run on ICS.

Hardware thing -- volume is low according to what everybody thinks. You can still hear it, but it's kind of quiet. Camera is mediocre at best.

Your welcome. Yes the volume is low but i do not think really low like others say, my Droid X is about the same now my old phone the Droid was loud when i got the Droid X I thought well that suxs. :D there is a app called volume+for free on the market it will help. Enjoy the GNexus.

Make sure you download the paid version of volume+(you can get on the developers site for free) the free version doesn't help. But the paid version does.

I have yet to run into an app compatability issue.

Build quality is solid. I have no screen protector, frequently put the phone in my pants pocket and it is absolutely perfect like the day I bought it.

I cannot say enough about this phone. Spectacular screen, fast processor, good camera, great call sound quality.

I came from a Droid X and was worried about the build quality, too. I didn't like the build quality of my wife's Samsung Fascinate, and I worried about the Nexus when I ordered it from Amazon. I had seen it in a VZW store in person, but with the big heavy security things they put on the phones, it didn't tell me much.

When it got here, though, I had no more worries. I do have it in a Cruzer Lite Androidified case, mostly because I find the back/battery door to be slippery to hold onto, but I don't use a screen protector, and like Outatime said above, my phone travels around in my pants pocket all day. I've also dropped it twice - once without a case - with no damage.

I haven't encountered any apps that don't run on 4.0 that I wanted...and you mentioned Dolphin, but as Jay3 said, Chrome Beta is 4.0 only and it's great.

Unlike some others, I haven't had a problem with the volume or the signal at all, so can't speak to fixes for those things.

I do have the extended battery in mine, the 2100 mAh, but fwiw, I'm consistently getting over 15-16 hours even with moderate to high usage.
