Sorry for my rant earlier. Are there any basic forum INSTRUCTIONS anywhere. Like EXACTLY what box do intro myself? What is a subscribed thread?hell whats a thread?what is the quick reply box and who writes in it and who can see it?to ask a question do I use this box?does new post mean you want to write something or read somethng? Get it: I am at the BASIC BASIC level.if anybody can read this please tell me exactly where to start. I guess that would be an "INTRODUCTION",but I don't know where to do that. Please describe the box for that. The problem is if someone did answer this question for me,i wouldn't even know where to look for that.my warning showed up in my "personal message"box", so I'll look there again i guess.(thats why my rant.i was hoping it would command some kind of response that stands out. I was right about that.

Introductions are done here, but you've pretty much taken care of that here. I'll try to keep this as basic as possible. A thread is a conversation. If you have a question/idea/statement that is appropriate for the section you are in and you think hasn't been covered, you click the new thread button. You will be prompted to type your question/idea/statement. If you start a thread like you did this one, you become the OP (original poster). When you click "post" it will appear at the top of that sections thread list and will be view able by everyone. If you click on a thread in that list, you are given the opportunity to reply to the other posts in that thread. You can use the quick reply box or if you want more editing options (like similes :) and such) click the "new reply" button instead. Anything you post in a thread will be visible to all unless the staff considers it inappropriate. If you want to send a private message? Click on the users name you want to send the message to and select send private message. You will be notified via a pop up and in the login box at the upper right hand corner of the page if you receive a private message. You can also find the rules for the site in my signature below this post. Enjoy the site and feel free to pm me if you have any other questions.

Since this isn't an introduction and doesn't really belong here, I'm going to move this to the lounge.

Thank-you so much. What a way to introduce myself. I am a shamed man and again I apologize. It won't happen again.

Not sure where a thank-you button is (I think there's one somewhere), but thank you bobcat, pastafarian, earlymon and slug and those others trying to help me (i just haven't found some other replies probably) for helping feel at home. I was a carpenter till I got hurt and am just now joining the computer age. If it isn't made out of wood, it's alien territory to me. Thanx to u guys, I shan't give up.

My tablet's covered in a wood patterned scratch guard, does that count? The thanks button is at the bottom right of every post. And there's no need to apologize for nor feel any shame in getting help. Before you know it, you'll be the one giving some other "newbie" advice. We were/are all there once!

Welcome to AndroidForums sleedeane :) Just do what I did when I first joined my first forum (this one of course). I just clicked on EVERYTHING that was click-able, lol.

And look at the RED! lol
