New user

Hi, I'm Chris. A new user and was the proud owner of a HTC Desire S only to be told it was liquid damaged .... and no insurance.

I've come on here to find if this is quite easily liquid damaged. Their is no reason to lie and I can genuinly say that it has not been in water.

My husband dropped his phone, Desire, in water and turned it off, used it 2 days later and had no problems with it, 5 months ago. Off to HTC forum now.

Hello princesschris, welcome to AF! Unfortunately, getting a phone wet is a huge hit or miss prospect on what happens. Some if caught quickly enough are fine, others are toast, and a few find a middle ground of partially working. I had a Droid Incredible that went through a wash cycle in my pocket, and it still worked, but did all sorts of funky things. Good luck with your phone troubles, and regardless, thanks for joining up! :)
