Hello, I am new to forums and just need some help with my phone. I am technologically reclined so apologize in advance if my questions seem redundant or completely stupid.

You will find that no question will fall on deaf ears here. We love to help and it's great to have you here at Android Forums. You will want to check out the discussion area for your phone for support for your question. It will also prove to be a great place to learn more about your phone by reading messages from other owners. Not knowing which phone you own, here is a link to the list of phones and their associated areas. Have fun and thanks for joining these forums.
