I know the dev was rewriting Launcher Pro, anyone heard when the new version will be available?

I looked, but was unable to find any contact info on his website or on Android Market.

I read in an Android tech bloggers tweet that the initial release ought to be today or tomorrow (1/20/11 or 1/21/11).

Ten years ago that sentence would have made no sense.

I just checked the Market and there is a new update for Launcher Pro available now.

It's not the rewrite.

It adds transition effects when switching the home screens.

Yup. When you are used to the sliding effect, the others take some getting used to.

0.8.3 just hit the market, screen transition effect was added, I love the flip- that's what I was using on ADW EX.

Just downloaded the update. I've been patiently waiting for the re-write and the screen transitions will hold me for a little while!

I didnt see the GMAIL widget, probably coming in another update soon!
