New vs. Used Thunderbolt

I found a new Thunderbolt in my area selling for $225. I was thinking of jumping for it, but there are plenty of people with used TBs that are only a few months old selling them for less than $150, even willing to let them go for $120.

I am wondering if the TB experts on here think it is worth it to spring for a new unit? Should I just save some $$ and go with a used one?

I don't have an answer to your used / new question, but I wanted to point you to this thread (http://androidforums.com/htc-droid-incredible-2/499722-stolen-phone-oh-noez.html). The poor folks over there ended up buying a stolen phone that was listed as new, so be careful.

You could ask for the esn number. Then you can call Verizon and are if its clean or bad

Oh Definitely! ALWAYS check the ESN before buying a used phone. It doesn't matter what the person tells you.

A used unit is as good as a new unit so long as everything works. Meet the seller in a VZW store.

always ask to meet at a Verizon Wireless store. Have one of the reps at the store verify that esn is clean BEFORE money is exchanged. If the seller is legit, they shouldn't have a problem with it.

I usually call VZW over the phone and make sure and then activate it on the spot.
