New York City is installing Android tablets into its public Wi-Fi hubs

LinkNYC is a free WiFi hub service for New York City and they had just started installing them toward the end of last year.

Today though, the city has started to install Android tablets into these hubs. Now anyone can do things like check their email, make a phone call, or find directions on Google Maps all for free.
